Minimum Space Heating and zero ODP

The Kingspan TEK Building System can reduce space heating demands not only through the low U-Values and air tightness it achieves, but also through the introduction of MVHR systems

Minimal Landfill

The KingspanTEK Building System is a factory engineered system, manufactured and cut off site meaning there is minimal site wastage.

Less Transport

The complete TEK Kit including panels and all ancillary timbers and components are delivered from one source meaning there is less transport than other construction methods.

CFC/HCFC Free

The Kingspan TEK Building System panels are manufactured without the use of CFCs/HCFCs and have zero Ozone Depletion Potential

The Sustainable Code for Homes

The blowing agent used in The Kingspan TEK Building System is widely accepted as having a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 5 (as published by the BRE in the technical guide for the Code for Sustainable Homes). The use of the system has a major influence in achieving high scores against the Energy/CO2 and Material/Waste criteria of the code. The “Lighthouse” project was launched in June 07 at the BRE Offsite conference, the first in Europe to achieve level 6.
