The Kingspan TEK Building System

K-Panels Ltd are a leading system supplier for The Kingspan TEK Building System which consists of Structural Insulated Panels connected with a unique jointing system, timber I-beams for intermediate floors, design services and structural calculation services. The Structural Insulated Panels are made up of two OSB 3 (Oriented Strand Board) boards with a zero Ozone Depletion Potential (zero ODP) rigid urethane insulation core. The OSB 3 boards are not bonded to the insulation in a secondary process. They are autohesively bonded to the rigid urethane insulation core during manufacture resulting in superior adhesive strength to the bond between the core and the OSB 3 boards.

How Does It Go Together

Design Flexibility

The Kingspan TEK Building System leaves ample scope for individual design. The panels are cut in the K-Panels factory, according to production drawings prepared by our Design Engineers from your individual construction plans.

The Kingspan TEK Building System can be used to create the walls (loadbearing and non-loadbearing), roof and floors of a complete building or elements of it can be used individually with other non-TEK components.

Speed of Build

Kingspan TEK Structural Insulated Panels are easy and fast to work with on site under all weather conditions. The Structural Shell of a typical three bed house can be erected in just a few days and if projects are managed effectively both external and internal trades can run simultaneously.

Applications

The KingspanTEK Building System can be used to create buildings up to 4 storeys. Its principal applications are for affordable housing, private housing developments, self build, education, leisure and commercial projects.

K-Panels are also supplying the system to Border Oak Design and Construction Limited as a cladding envelope for green oak framed buildings in stead of a timber stud wall. These panels are joined together in exactly the same way as when the system is used as the structural element , but the panels are also fixed to the oak framework.
