K-Panels close 2007 as Kingspan’s Number 1 TEK System Supplier with record turnover figures.

K-Panels attribute their success to their willingness to undertake a wide variety of different types of schemes, putting no upper or lower limits on the size of the projects undertaken.

Projects over 2007 have included numerous one-off houses for self builders & developers alongside larger multi unit projects including projects for Eastern Shires Housing Association and Amber Valley Housing Ltd. Ongoing work includes the Children’s Centre programme for Nottinghamshire County Council and news office for the MoD through Babcock DynCorp Infrastructure Ltd.

SIPs offer an attractive package with fast build times, energy efficiency, low u-values and impressive air tightness capabilities that appeal to the both the individual self-build affordable housing and the commercial developer markets. Using SIPs offers you a building that meets tomorrow’s building standards today.

TEK is becoming more and more popular, largely down to the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes.  Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) score well against against the energy efficiency and waste minimisation criteria . As social housing developments now have to achieve level 3 of the code as minimum we predict that this will be one of our biggest growth markets for 2008.

The success has been so great that K-Panels are currently in the processes of expanding into another factory on the existing business park in Tuxford rationalising all their operations into one larger factory.

For the future, we can see more success ahead. We have an optimistic forecast for 2008 backed up a growing demand for TEK especially as the Sustainable Code for Homes comes further into play.
