Double Awards Success for K-Panels

Nottinghamshire based off-site construction company, K-Panels Ltd, is celebrating a double win at the Mansfield 2020 Business Awards where it received both the Business of the Year Award and the Innovation Award.

The awards went to K-Panels for pioneering the design, fabrication, supply and erection of the innovative Kingspan TEK Building System in the East Midlands.

This highly insulated building system achieves good thermal performance, air tightness and energy efficiency, making a major contribution to the requirement for low-carbon emission buildings, as well as reducing build time.

Operations Director Sam Saunders of Mansfield 2020 says: “The judging panel selected K-Panels from 9 other contenders for the Business of the Year Award in recognition of its all round achievement, foresight and sustained growth. The panel also selected K-Panels from 4 nominees for the Innovation Award for the innovative development of the Kingspan TEK Building System”.

K-Panels Business Development Manager, Glenn Slater was delighted to receive the awards.

He says: “We identified the trend in Government policy towards addressing climate change and delivering sustainability and entered the market before it started to become an imperative through building regulations. We are the only company in the East Midlands delivering the Kingspan TEK Building System and have seen significant increase in demand for the system from affordable housing providers, local authorities, architects, contractors, developers and self builders in the wake of the new sustainable building code and the government’s desire to develop low/zero carbon buildings”.
