Although a Timber based building system, SIP’s panels should not be confused with traditional Timber Stud wall construction. SIP’s panels consist of two pieces of OSB sandwiched around a autohesively bonded high performance rigid urethane insulation core.
This highly consistent manufacture process results in a structural timber panel which offers superior thermal efficiency and air tightness, and helps to eliminate the problems that befall some traditional Timber structures such as heat loss though repeated linear timber junctions, or insulation sagging over time and affecting the buildings thermal performance.
