Why we tick all the boxes

Reducing The Carbon Footprint of Buildings

  • Thermal performance built-in – highly insulated buildings with minimal heating requirements and lower running costs
  • Sealed jointing system – air tight buildings, reduced heat loss, reduced energy use
  • Low U-value – easily achieves a value of 0.2 W/m2K , difficult to achieve with other construction methods
  • 142 mm internal wall thickness – other methods require thicker walls to achieve the same thermal performance
  • Insulation built-in – the highly insulated TEK panel is produced in a single process, insulation is not installed on site which means consistent insulation on all external walls
  • Limited cold bridging - Due to the continuity of its rigid urethane insulation core the Kingspan TEK Building System enhances thermal reliability compared with other insulation which often sags or slumps after time.
  • The Sustainable Code for Homes - The blowing agent used in The Kingspan TEK Building System is widely accepted as having a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 5 (as published by the BRE in the technical guide for the Code for Sustainable Homes). The use of the system has a major influence in achieving high scores against the Energy/CO2 and Material/Waste criteria of the code. The “Lighthouse” project was launched in June 07 at the BRE Offsite conference, the first in Europe to achieve level 6.

Reducing Waste

  • Off site construction – minimises site waste, reduces landfill, improves quality control
  • Re-using – panel off cuts from the manufacturing process are used to form cassettes which form part of our jointing system, reducing factory waste

Other Benefits

  • Design flexibility – panel design accommodates most layouts
  • Robust construction – BBA Certified to Four Stories
  • Future proof– meets tomorrow’s building standards today
  • Faster construction – save upto 30% in build time
  • Room-in-the Roof – more useable roof space if you choose Structural Insulated Panels for your roof as well
  • Additional Floor Space – 142 mm internal wall thickness offers the opportunity to increase floor space with the same building footprint or reduce the building footprint whilst achieving the same useable floor space
  • Strong Acoustic Performance - SIP structures provide significant resistance to airborne sound.
  • Able to offer a full build package in the East Midlands
  • Full kit supplied to site in one delivery
