Limited cold bridging - Due to the continuity of its rigid urethane insulation core the Kingspan TEK Building System enhances thermal reliability compared with other insulation which often sags or slumps after time.
The Sustainable Code for Homes - The blowing agent used in The Kingspan TEK Building System is widely accepted as having a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 5 (as published by the BRE in the technical guide for the Code for Sustainable Homes). The use of the system has a major influence in achieving high scores against the Energy/CO2 and Material/Waste criteria of the code. The “Lighthouse” project was launched in June 07 at the BRE Offsite conference, the first in Europe to achieve level 6.
